Pot plus luck equals to Potluck
Potluck at Seow’s on Saturday. Chiam, Janice and my idea of potluck is to order Pizza Hut to Seow’s house. Two large pizzas, starry munchers that no one ate and garlic bread. Of course Chiam ordered because she IS a Sharon. I brought my Momo and picked up Iwee. I am trying to not be a bimbo driver by driving everywhere possible but it is not possible if I have someone telling me to go where exactly so I just tune out and never remember any direction or directions. Ros brought her family including the twins, A and A. I have never seen such jumpy ninja children.
The dog, Chloe was at the door to welcome us. I love that dog. She is like most possibly the ONLY dog that I like in the entire world. And she loves me too. Or at least I like to think that she does. She did lick both my legs and listen to me when I ask her to sit, high five and shake hand.
The food was a spread. Wang’s chicken stew (soup) which Ray helped cook, Seow’s world famous dip, Melodyee’s chicken wings, Huiping’s banana and walnut cake, etc etc etc. Eat until full full except my mother kept on telling me to wash my hands because of Chloe.
Wang being the organiser, brought her Bingo set, Tarot cards and Twister She even got the ‘prizes’ for the winners of the games. Have you had a bilingual Bingo caller? Well, look no further, Wang can call out any number in english and mandarin and guaranteed 100% entertainment. Ray and Seow won the money pot bingo. We were instructed to bring socks so that Twister would be more exciting than it could already be.
Seow whipped out her cheena gambling set with pictures of chicken, fish, crab, prawn, a coin and something else that I forgot with dices with the same pictures and her piggy bank and mass gambling began. One of the As was introduced at an early age to the bad bad thrill of gambling.
I was surprised with a birthday cake. Happy early birthday to me! Thank you girls!
