Be my (materialistic) Valentine
I do not subscribe to the concept of Valentine’s Day. But I do subscribe to the concept of receiving gifts. (Of course). I do not celebrate Valentine’s Day. This Valentine’s Day I dated Ping to go for Ashtanga yoga and went back to work after because it was the beginning of Peak. However, I did give The laney something and he of course gave me something else.
I got him these Camper shoes in white. The softest of leather. They had the girl version too. Can you say tempted? However, I had to remind myself I had 6 pair of new shoes for CNY and I do not do matchy matchy with my significant other because I happen to have my own identity.
He gave me this Kate Spade wallet in blue. I wanted a pair of Rayban Wayfarers but when I saw this at the new Kate Spade store at Raffles City, lets just say that the Raybans can wait.

When I was just at the Kate Spade website searching for the picture of the wallet, saw the Spring items, the consumerism monster is everywhere!
The peak has started. I am not coping very well especially with the avalanche of e-mails that seem to fall into my in box everyday. Every e-mail needs a reply (of course) and clients ask the darnest questions. I am not customer service suited but I try my best. But slap me when I have to be nice to a bitchy client. We had a presentation on Friday and I did my first solo client meeting on Tuesday. All went fine. Makes me think how much I have matured working here.
