Cha-ching!
It always seems so much easier when you’re thinking about it – having a wedding, buying a place, filling the space up with furniture. Of course when you buckle down to getting it done, you remember why everything seemed so much more fun before because in your mind, you had unlimited funds. Now it just seems that everything you like is way over your budget. As if things couldn’t get more depressive.
Still, I (meaning Fatty, my salary is still somewhat along the that of a churchmouse) bought the first piece of furniture for the house-that-doesn’t-exist-yet. Along the way, I’ve gotten stuff like … Lego salt and pepper shakers (do people still have those) for that said house. So we were at Muji looking at plastic drawers for my walk-in-wardrobe-that-doesn’t-exist-yet (I may be poor but I have a ton of clothes and shit that I may or may not be able to fit into) when we saw these acrylic stuff that really spoke to us (in a way, I like colour but it’s tiring to fit so many colours in a room that I have to share with Fatty who is boring and besides we never like the same things so rather yes it spoke more to me), plus the acrylic stuff was on sale.
So anyway, meet my living room table:
