Bambi’s rear is distressed and I do not mean distressed in a good way (think: not distressed jeans). So I sadly brought her to Prada only for the saleslady to GASP when she saw the bag. She informed me that Bambi would be sent to Hongkong but NO PROMISES. I could literally feel my heart breaking. It is the materialism in me speaking but that is one of the few things that I really wanted that the Pig gave me even though he did not approve of it. And I love Bambi.
But totally wary against deer leather now, I trooped to all the not so hefty price tagged bag shops for a replacement. Even if Bambi could be saved, Bambi is going into a glass cabinet to be admired from afar because apparently carrying it like a normal bag has DESTROYED it.
I walked into Kate Spade even though Kate Spade has sold her company to Liz Claiborne. And picked up immediately (well almost), the Clarkson Small Carla. I was so excited that hapless The Laney said that he would get it for me for my birthday. (Personally I think he was relieved because he never knows what to get for me unless I tell him what I want).
So excited that I asked Seow about her aunt who was a Kate Spade VIP and went back today with The Laney in tow again today. Got abit distracted by the Clarkson Francis but in the end, stuck to my original choice of the Small Carla, the (big) Clarkson being too large for my tastes. Small Carla is black by the way, as Seow always says, I have too many brown bags (do I?). However, I was abit floored when the saleslady asked for Seow’s aunt’s contact and address. Only to dial hastily to Seow who was cleaning her house for the information.
The contender: Clarkson Francis

The winner: Clarkson Small Carla

And what is CT? Nope, not a certain colleague of ours but China Town!

At China Town, you can:
+ Buy cheap toiletries
+ Buy Cheap Pads
+ Buy affordable clothes – really cool clothes like tops for $29 and $32 and totally not CT looking
+ Discover that the shop auntie is really hip and knows the products that she sell very well
+ Find an organic shop in the middle of People’s Park
(Seow is totally going to kill me for putting up the above picture)

because I need to know what the fuss is all about. Before my materialistic ways get out of control! I wonder whether Kino has it yet.
Deluxe: How Luxury has lost it’s luster.

If you notice, the brand that she chose to put on the cover is Prada. And if there is anything I like, it is Prada. (Maybe another visit to Champs-Élysées’ Louis Vuitton will change my mind)

Sunday:
+ Woke up to eat breakfast at cafe, scrambled eggs and bacon anyone?
+ Bri dropped us off at Market City, can you say shopping? The fun thing about shopping in Sydney is that the salespeople can mark down the clothes as they please.
+ Mission: to spend all the AUD I had. Not a difficult thing to do.
+ Walked through the city centre, QVC, shop, shop, shop.
+ Supre, Cotton On, Mambo, Mooks,
+ I bought a Tigerlily (my lovelove) pants, Emily the Strange top, Mooks top, slippers, Country Road yellow and white striped duffel
+ Ate AUD 5.25 cupcake at David Jones
+ Bri picked up us to go to Star City where we would not let me in because I did not bring my passport. Boo.
+ Ate at Oscars.
+ Ate at Gelatissimo – Death by Chocolate! Chocolate truffle. Yay!

Monday:
+ Dom’s mother brought us to eat at the Pavillion, sausage and hashbrowns
+ Last minute shopping at Chatswood
+ Back to sit on luggage
+ Off to airport
+ Bye bye Dominikki, I miss you!

Every last Friday night of the month, there is late night shopping. Did you know that? I was in town with the two Sharons tonight. Hitting the shops the best way three girls could possibly do, with lots of gossiping and laughter.
Seow knew of Tonkichi (my ex favourite restuarant) too and we brought Chiam to try it out. I missed the place so much. It seems that they brought back the pork loin that I have been pining for finally. We showed Chiam the fragrance that was released when the sesame seeds were minced and mixed the plum sauce with the fine sesame powder to dip the pork with. It is amazing how we can just carry the conversation from work to parents to school back to work and not feel the time passing by.
We filtered into the three changing rooms in Lver. We called to each other and came out in the clothes for criticisms and appraisals. We told the truth and asked whether the clothes made our asses look big. I feel really comfortable with the Sharons. It is as if we knew each other forever. I guess working with each other and being in the same office does that to people. We knew each other’s styles and we knew each other’s existing wardrobes and almost the number of pairs of shoes each other had. We share the same big hips and the same problem in looking for bottoms, especially pants and skirts. So we can totally identify with each other. It was hall all over again except I seem to know these girls even better.

This Christmas, I decided to reward myself for having worked more than one year and to ‘prep’ myself for the oncoming peak. Note that I do not have a year end bonus or any 13th month bonus.
I got this Kate Spade iPod Nano case in Green. It was 30% at Takashimaya. I asked the lady to gift wrap it. I know, so unenvironmentally friendly but so good to open on Christmas Day.

Next up, actually it was the next day, on a total impulse, like all purchases are, I bought this Coach Hamptons Signature Medium Carryall in what I would like to call Sand. And this truly means no more almost IT bags until next next years bonus. Next year’s bonus will probably used to buy a pair of shoes. *crackle* And yes, I did buy it sort of to match the T charm that Mich gave me for my birthday and I also had it giftwrapped.

Now all I have to do is to bring the dot noel Kate Spade to shorten the straps and it would seem like a new bag!

I just really am into Totes. This carrot jonquil pinic tote really got my heart pumping.

Ever since I got my hair chopped short, I realised just why guys wore caps so often. Because they are freaking lazy to wax and style their hair. As a fellow lazer, I have included two new caps for weekend use.
This one from Adidas is reminscent of an model Aryan boy (i.e. abit Nazi).

I got another one in army green from Roxy (couldn’t find the picture online) that is more along the lines of communist china.
And this Wool Khangai Tie Hat from Stewart+Brown is really really cool. But sigh, wool is not good for here.

Caps and hats, another accessory to obssess over. My colleague asked why I do not have pierced ears. As if I can deal with another whole range of things to buy. Heh.

Ooh, look at this staple-less Cat or Dog Stapler. I really would like to see how it works. Only in the US of A or Japan or anywhere else but here.

But I got these pink AdiZeros from Queensway for running on Monday, so light and such a joy to run in (yah actually after 1 km, it does not really matter). Have succeeded in jogging (I call it running) 3.3 km. Yay!

The AdiZero site on the US Adidas site is very Jappy with Anime-que figures, very very fun!

Every year I buy a dress to wear for my birthday. It is my birthday dress and it is usually worn only once. This year’s dress has not been found yet but it would be very very very very very nice to have this Alice McCall dress.
It fits every requirement I have for my dream dresses:
1. Sleeved.
2. Short.
3. Colourful.
